Home / Pinay Power Productions

Pinay Power Productions is the umbrella name I established in 1995 for all of the various projects that I do.

These mostly include:
- Spoken word performances
- Lecturing & conducting workshops at various universities & colleges on issues of:
* Asian American & Filipino American identity
* race
* feminism & gender
* mixed blood ancestry
* queerness
* self-defense & martial arts
* zine-making
* alternative media
* ways of empowerment
* unlocking creativity
* rallying communities through key note speeches & spoken word

Upcoming speaking engagements:
'll be speaking/performing at Goddard College on February 9, 2007, on the residence theme, "Building Alliances/Speaking the Silences/Examining Power and Privilege: Healing & Connecting Within and Without". (Plainfield, VT)

I'll also be speaking/performing at Columbia University in early March, 2007 (date TBD) for Women's History Month. This is via Kappa Phi Lambda, an Asian-interest cultural sorority, as well as the Queer Alliance. Come join us if you can! (New York, NY)
